The VLIRUOS ICP Connect Project – Digital Innovation for Development (DI4D) is an international collaborative initiative involving Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), and Thomas More University of Applied Sciences, Belgium. The project seeks to promote digital innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, practical digital skills development, and the application of emerging technologies to address development challenges. As part of the project, MUBS will host the VLIRUOS ICP Connect Uganda Data Science Hackathon from 12–15 October 2026. The Hackathon will bring together students from MUBS and MUST to develop innovative, data-driven and digital solutions to priority challenges affecting Uganda’s agricultural sector. Makerere University Business School invites eligible second- and third-year students to express interest in participating in the VLIRUOS ICP Connect Uganda Data Science Hackathon.
